Classical structure?

I think that a classical structure is suitable for children’s stories because it makes stories predictable and they feel confident because they know what is going to be next. They are also organised in terms of time which is good for children as it makes comprehension easier for them. On the other hand I think that classical structure stories do not allow as much fantasy as non linear stories do, because the information is given in order and so, not many surprises can arise. My second argument against classical structure stories has to do with variety: we have to offer children different types of stories. In this way we can introduce different story elements and give them the opportunity to choose which story they want to create as future writers.
