I would like to write my arguments for and against from the perspective of encouraging students to become writers.
The classical structure provides a safe format to be followed, with limited knowledge of the second language it would derive the feeling of sucess for the writer.
The argument against it would be, that if we only use classical structures, our future writers' stories may be flat and less exciting. The characters will be very similar, just as the settings, the storyline itself. Interactivity motivates students to be engaged more deeply and develops creativity.
